❄ What makes Chrissy special: her gorgeous tri-colour scruffy coat
Poor Chrissy has been let down by people so many times in her life, and yet she is still such a happy, loving girl! We received a call that she had showed up at a petrol station by the side of a busy road in the summer of 2024. Her coat was in a terrible state and it was clear that she had been roaming the streets for a while.. Knowing what would happen to her under Turkey's Massacre law, employees of the petrol station called me to ask for help.
Through Chrissy's microchip, we were able to learn her heartbreaking story of abandonment.. She had been purchased as a hunting dog, only to be given to another family once they grew bored of her. That family also gave up on her and passed her on to a third family. Once the third family had had enough of her, they abandoned her. When we called them to tell them we had found their dog and ask if they wanted her back, their response was: "can you send us pictures? We don't know which one you're talking about, we've lost a few dogs lately and want to know which one it is to decide if we want her back". Thankfully, they agreed to hand her over to us.
None of Chrissy's previous families cared about her... Despite having had three families before, she has never known true love and safety. Despite this, Chrissy is the happiest, most affectionate girl!
Chrissy is one of the most easy-going, social dogs in the enclosure. Always happy and friendly, she is a well-loved member of the Melez pack. She is friends with all the other dogs in the enclosure and loves to play with them. She happily greets new dogs, and she is also friendly towards cats.
Chrissy also loves people and is a very affectionate dog. She loves getting cuddles, but doesn't constantly demand your attention. She isn't scared of strangers and is friendly with everyone she meets both in and outside the enclosure. Outside of the enclosure, Chrissy is a confident dog who walks well on the lead and likes going out to explore. As a playful, energetic dog, Chrissy would love a home where she can go on lots of walks exploring new areas. Chrissy likes being in the car and jumps in by herself.
With her gentle nature and cheerful character, Chrissy will truly be an enrichment to her family's life. Chrissy would thrive in a home that could give her safety, stability, and lots of unconditional love. She so deserves to experience what it is like to have a forever family!
Chrissy is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the UK and the EU.
Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
