❄ What makes Rylee special: her big, fox-like ears!

Rylee came into our care in early 2024. She and her brother Ace were abandoned on the streets when they were only a few months old. They had a home before, but their owner cruelly dumped them in front of our puppy pad. A local resident saw a taxi drive up to our enclosure, drop a heavy-looking sack on the ground, and speed off. Concerned, the man went to check and when he opened the sack, he found poor Rylee and Ace inside. He let them out and immediately called us to come over. Poor Rylee and Ace were so confused, but they let us pick them up and bring them to safety.

Rylee grew up in our puppy pad and grew into a gorgeous, happy girl. She is playful, soft-natured and very affectionate. She is quiet and relatively calm for her age, but she also has a cheeky side! She is a light medium size, with long legs, but a very slim build.

Because she grew up in our enclosure, Rylee has seen very little of the outside world, and she needs to build up more self-confidence. She walks well on the lead and enjoys being able to calmly sniff and explore, but is easily startled by loud noises and sudden movements. She is very hesitant when she feels insecure and needs lots of encouragement and reassurance. Rylee's adopters will have to work with her to help her feel safe and continue to help her build up her self-confidence so she can feel more secure and care-free when out for walks and in new places.

Rylee loves people and is a very sweet, affectionate dog. When meeting new people she can initially be a bit shy and hesitant, but she will come up to sniff pretty quickly, and after calm introductions, she loves getting attention from everyone! She is very cuddly and could spend hours on your lap getting belly rubs.

Having grown up surrounded by other dogs, Rylee loves interacting with other dogs and is very playful. In the enclosure, she especially loves energetic, older and larger dogs. Rylee would really benefit from having another dog in the home to learn from and to help her feel more safe. Having another dog around would make settling in to her new home a lot easier for her.

​

As she is still very young, Rylee's adopters should be prepared for mischievous adolescent behaviour. In the Melez enclosure, she is one of the more quiet dogs, but once she has a home of her own, we expect her full playful character to come out!

Rylee is currently in Turkey and is available for adoption in the UK and the EU.

 

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
