❄ What makes Timo special: Timo is a silver fox with his grey face!

Timo came into our care in January 2025. 

This poor old boy was wasting away in the government shelter.. Old and sick, underweight and covered in bite marks, this is a dog who desperately needed help, but under the new 'Massacre Law', government shelters are instructed to euthanise sick dogs rather than try to help them.. Thankfully, our local shelter agreed to hand him over to us instead.

We took him straight to the vets, where it turned out that he had an extremely high bacterial infection. The vet said he would have been dead within days if he hadn't been brought in for treatment..

Timo was so unwell and confused and he was absolutely terrified.. He chose the smallest spot in the clinic he could find to hide away in during his treatment..

Thankfully, Timo made a full recovery, and once he moved into the Melez enclosure, slowly but surely, he started to learn to trust. Although he is still shy, he is always so happy to see us, and happily wags his tail as he comes up to say hello. He doesn't need much attention and he isn't very cuddly, but he is happy to get some pets and then continue sniffing around in the enclosure. When volunteers visit the enclosure, Timo waits a while before greeting them, but then comes up to quietly say hello.

 

Timo is a quiet, calm dog with an extremely gentle nature. He easily blends blends into the background in the busy enclosure, but he is so deserving of more attention! He is a very easy-going dog who doesn't want much, just a soft blanket to lie on and the opportunity to go on some walks to go around and sniff all the new smells. Timo walks well on the lead and is very well-behaved when out and about. He lets us take him in and out of the enclosure without fuss and happily lets us lead him wherever he needs to go. Car rides are one of Timo's favourite things in life, and he excitedly jumps into the car with any opportunity he gets!

Timo is friendly towards other dogs, but doesn't really interact with the other dogs in the enclosure. He would be happy as an only dog in the home, or sharing his home with another quiet dog.

Timo would thrive in a calm, quiet home. All he wants is a soft bed and a family who loves him. Could you give him the peaceful, comfortable golden years he so deserves?

Timo is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU/UK.

The dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
