❄ What makes Whiskers special: her beautiful scruffy black and brown and white coat

Whiskers came into our care in the winter of 2023.

We spotted poor little Whiskers when she was still a puppy of about 10 months old in the government shelter, stuck in an overcrowded kennel and clearly feeling unwell. We knew she wouldn't get the treatment she needed in the government shelter, and we couldn't leave her behind there.. Whiskers was suffering from a combination of Kennel Cough and anemia caused by Anaplasmosis. Thankfully, she made a full recovery!

One and a half years later, Whiskers is happy and healthy and is fully settled in the Melez enclosure. She is a beloved member of the Melez pack, and she is friends with everyone. In her kennel, she is the life of the party!

With her sweet-natured character, Whiskers is a very social dog who gets along with everyone. Always cheerful and up for playing, she and her friends spend hours running around their kennel chasing after each other. Whiskers gets along with all dogs. Big or small, male or female, as long as they want to play with her, Whiskers loves them! Whiskers also has a mischievous side and she sometimes gets bored living in a kennel 24/7. When she gets bored, she will mischievously steal blankets or toys and destroy them..

Whiskers loves people and she is always one of the first dogs to run up to us to say hello in the morning. She is very cuddly and loves getting attention. Whiskers is extremely friendly when meeting strangers, and doesn't get shy at all. She is also very friendly and patient with children.

When she gets to go out of her kennel, Whiskers happily goes out exploring new places. She walks perfectly on a lead and likes going out for walks. Although she isn't a timid dog, her adopters should keep in mind that she has spent most of her life in the Melez enclosure and has seen very little of the 'outside' world, so many things will still be new to her and she will need time and patience to get used to going to places with traffic, or crowded places.

This sweet, easy-going girl is full of life, and she would be so happy to have a family of her own!

Whiskers is currently in Turkey and is ready to travel to the EU or the UK.

Our dogs arrive in their homes microchipped, up to date on their Rabies and Mixed vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and deflead and tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma. The dogs visit the vets for a final health check before they travel. If needed, their teeth are cleaned and X-Rays are taken of any potential areas of concern. Any concerns or potential health issues we are aware of will be communicated with you beforehand.
